5. Important Disclaimer — No Professional Advice
All content provided through our Services — including articles, forum content, AI-generated responses and any other output — is for general informational and educational purposes only.
It does not constitute professional or technical advice and must not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified appliance repair engineer or other relevant professional.
In particular, you should always consult a qualified engineer before:
- Attempting any repair involving gas appliances
- Working on appliances connected to the mains electricity supply
- Making any repair where safety is a concern
You must always exercise your own independent judgement, and where appropriate seek qualified professional assistance.
6. Historic Content
Some content on this website, including articles and forum discussions, was created prior to 24 March 2026 by previous owners of the website.
While we aim to review and improve historic content over time, we:
- Do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or currency
- Accept no liability for any reliance placed on such content
You should treat all historic content as general background guidance only, and verify any critical information with an up-to-date professional source.
7. AI Fault Finder
Our Fault Finder is an AI-powered diagnostic tool that generates automated responses to appliance queries. It is powered by a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI).
When using the Fault Finder, you acknowledge and accept that:
- Responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate, complete or suitable for your specific situation
- The system may make errors or omissions
- AI outputs do not constitute professional advice
- Your inputs may be processed by our AI provider and used to improve our Services (see our Privacy and Cookie Policy)
You must not rely solely on Fault Finder output when making decisions about your appliance. You should always apply your own judgement and, where appropriate, seek qualified professional advice.
We strongly recommend that you do not include personal, sensitive or confidential information in any queries submitted to the Fault Finder.
8. Repair Booking and Third-Party Services
Whitegoods Help may facilitate the booking of appliance repair services and signpost users to spare parts suppliers. Where this occurs:
- The repair service or spare parts are provided by a third party, not by us
- We are not party to any contract between you and the third-party service provider
- We do not accept liability for the quality, safety, timeliness or availability of any third-party repair service or product
- Any dispute regarding a repair or product should be directed to the relevant third-party provider
We do not endorse any particular repair engineer or parts supplier, and our signposting does not constitute a recommendation.
