Here’s another appliance fire risk warning. Some AEG-Electrolux and ZANUSSI-Electrolux dishwashers are the subject of an urgent safety notice regarding the potential risk of a fire.
They say no product bought before July 2006 is affected, but the following models do have this potential problem –
AEG-Electrolux Models –
- F50765 – PNC no – 911916296
- F50765 – PNC no – 911516005
ZANUSSI-Electrolux Models –
- ZSF6161 – PNC no – 911916239
- ZSF6161 S – PNC no – 911916240
- ZDF501 – PNC no – 911516002
- ZDF501 S – PNC no – 911516007
- IZZI ALU – PNC no – 911915225
- ZSF6161 N – PNC no – 911916260
- ZSF6161 X – PNC no – 911916265
Only the following serial numbers are affected: 62700001 to 64099999 and 70800001 to 71699999. The model number and PNC number should be on a rating plate at the side of the door. Drop the door down and look at the right edge of the door.
A full safety notice used to be available to be downloaded but as with most manufacturers they usually remove them as soon as they think they can so if you have an affected appliance that has been missed you will need to contact them directly – Contact Zanussi service.
NOTE: If you are the owner of an affected model you must stop using your dishwasher and switch it off. This safety notice does not affect any other AEG-Electrolux or ZANUSSI-Electrolux appliance.
There is was a consumer telephone hotline available but they never keep these hotlines open for long so it will be long closed by now. Contact them via their website, or telephone.
