Our dishwasher was giving an E5 error message. We contacted Christopher to see if it could be repaired. One of their engineers came out and stated that the seals were broken and indoor assembly needed replaced. Which they did, we paid parts and labour. £163 With 90days guarantee the error message was back. Then the engineer came out and stated he had got it wrong and it was now the upper strayer tube assembly that needed fixed. Which he then did again we paid for parts £59.59 This still did not resolves the issue. He came back 48 hours later and fully removed the dishwasher, and looked underneath it and he discovered a leak at the bottom of the machine and discovered that there was a broken seal at the bottom, causing the machine to flood. He stated that this was the source of the issues and previous two diagnosis and parts were NOT needed. He had the audacity to ask us to pay for this part. Given that we have already paid over £200 to replace 2 parts that did not need fixed we have refused and feel they should pay for the part as a gesture of good will for the parts we have paid for that were not needed. We have tried to escalate this, however no-one calls us back and the standard responses is to keep filling in customer complaints online forms. This is despite us telephoning them and the engineer submitting reports. Personally if you need an appliance fixed look elsewhere where as this company happily take you money and fail to fix what is wrong over £200 later, we could have had a new dishwasher for that.
