First time repair using Lewis but I will be using them again for any required appliance repairs . Their online booking and communication thereafter was first class , and repair undertaken at agreed time and cost . First class from start to finish

The repairmen came during the agreed time slot. After around 1hr, he was the bearer of bad news and told me my fridge was unrepairable. Gave me a summary of the damage. Told me due to the heatwave he saw a lot of fridge freezers breaking down. Despite I agreed to the price, I feel £100 + for them to tell you it's unrepairable is a bit steep. I understand business' have different rates and cost breakdown. Apart from that, great service.

They prey on vulnerable and disabled consumers, taking advantage of them through deceptive practices and fraudulent billing. An engineer attended to repair a Bosch washing machine for an elderly, disabled person on July 9, 2026. The engineer falsely claimed the repair was complete, collected a £102.24 service charge, and left—only for the machine to remain completely broken and unusable. When the issue was reported, the company refused to acknowledge their failure, hiding behind predatory terms and conditions to frame a failed, fraudulent visit as a "diagnostic service." Instead of taking accountability, Managing Director Adrian Welke sent dismissive, unprofessional correspondence attempting to justify charging over £100 for zero results while completely ignoring valid concerns regarding disability discrimination and consumer rights violations. They forced an vulnerable consumer into immense distress, leading to a complete loss of trust and forcing us to purchase a brand-new appliance elsewhere. Minutes after he left, the machine was proven to remain completely broken and unusable. Claiming money for a non-existent, unperformed repair is obtaining money by deception.  2. Deceptive Fee Reclassification: When a refund was demanded, you arbitrarily and retroactively reclassified this payment as a "non-refundable diagnostic fee" to dodge consumer protection laws—something that was never agreed upon as a standalone fee at the time of booking. 3. Disability Discrimination: You completely ignored pre-arranged accessibility requirements and reasonable adjustments for vulnerable, visually impaired, and autistic consumers, in direct violation of the Equality Act 2010.  4. Escalation: Hiding behind "terms and conditions" does not exempt you from UK consumer law (Consumer Rights Act 2015). This case is already officially escalated to Trading Standards (Consumer Advice Scotland) and the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) under reference #260722-000098, alongside a formal chargeback dispute via PayPal. Stop deflecting and issue an immediate, full refund of £102.24.
