Called Local Appliance Services, after my washing machine developed a fault! Girl in the phone did explain the costs involved, £96, which included the call out and Labour charges. Engineer did arrive as expected, he was in my home for a max 7 minutes never opens his tool bag, rotated the drum in my machine by hand and told me the motor was gone? Strange as the machine would do a wash cycle, but it wouldn’t complete the spin cycle, hence the reason for repair. Any how after 7 minutes and not even opening a tool bag I had to pay £96!!! My advice would be to avoid Local Appliance Services completely, nothing more than a call handling service as far as I can see. Buy the cheapest washing machine that suits your needs run it till it packs up and start again, much cheaper way to go!
