Hastie Appliance Repairs

Well, I did not expect to be able to have a repair done so quickly. It is very unusual these days.

The engineer was very polite and knowledgable with the appliance. Appliance fixed in a timely manner.

Engineer came out for an over door fault, very quick response, I was charged £120 on the initial visit and he said he'd order the part and be back 'next week'. At that point I was very happy, if I'd gotten what I was told I would have been satisfied. It's now four weeks later and I've heard nothing. Alasdair clearly subcontract out this work, so although I've called Alasdair and the person answering the phone is apologetic and said they'd pass a message to the engineer, nothing happens after that. I'm down £120, my oven still doesn't work and I've no idea what's happening. Deplorable service. It's an easy job, just replacing a micro switch that senses when the door is shut, if there's a genuine reason for the delay I feel I should have been informed. *Update, 22/08/2026* it's now 7 weeks and still no repair. The technician messaged once to say he'd call then never did and now he's ghosting me. Still no repair, still down my £120 and no main oven for the entirety of the summer holidays. Not a great service!

The engineer was great explained fault and repair very well but unfortunately a repair was not financially feasible. Quite fair call out charge.

Great service. Diagnosed the problem within minutes. Returned within two working days with the required spare part. Good notification of time slots.

Very pleasant and helpful. Replaced oven element very quickly. Then dismantled the oven door so I could clean the glass. I will happily recommend Alasdair . Have put information on our street what's app group
