WOW - I found Altin on google this morning, called them, they answered the phone, I explained the problem , within 3 hours an engineer (charming bloke) was on the doorstep, - an hour later he'd fixed it...the cooker works properly for the first time in 10 years... cost me £100 quid. Absolutely fantastic, restored my faith in these systems. Really chuffed

Very happy with Altin. I phoned them in the morning and spoke to a very helpful person who told me the engineer would be in touch later that day. He phoned me back later that morning and came out that afternoon! Our washing machine was working again by teatime. Very happy with the polite, friendly and prompt service. Would definitely use again.

I feel absolutely robbed. I am a practical person who can repair most things. I spoke to the lady and she said it is it £70 fixed fee for diagnostic and the labour cost of repair. I asked very specially how much margin is on the parts. She said the engineers are reasonable. So I elaborated and said I think the fridge compressor has broken and these cost less than £200 (original and brand new £189) so I don't want to be charged £3-400 for this part. She said oh no it would be a reasonable price. The engineer (self employed contractor arrived) and was quoting £500 plus for the condenser. I had to he discussion and he said it is normal. So I wasted a morning and £70 for something a already knew and something I had specifically asked the lady on the phone not to allow. Job done Monday 01/06/2026 on a fridge in Chester CH3 by Appliance &Refrigeration Engineer 5 the Meadow CH49 8HX. He had no interest in offering a fair price.
