There are several error codes on Hotpoint Aquarius washing machines that are indicated by flashing lights. These are just basic ones from models WMA30, WMA31, WMA32 & WMA33 although they may be the same for other Hotpoint Aquarius models using led lights. Aquarius models with a proper digital display should indicate error codes in a more sophisticated manner using actual text such as F1.

DE Error on Samsung washing machines (usually) means that “the door is open”. As with most error codes though you can’t take it literally because very often this error will display when the door is clearly closed. What it means is, that it thinks the door is open, presumably because it’s not getting power passed from the door interlock.
Error E35 on AEG washing machines and washer dryers indicates a fault on the filling system and is described as an “Overflow” fault. The machine believes it is overfilling and takes abortive action as described later. There are several possible causes listed, many of which a diy repairer is unlikely to find helpful.
Error F05 on some Hotpoint washing machines means the pressure switch has “jammed” on, so the machine thinks it’s full of water and refuses to spin. It may indeed be full of water – but not necessarily.
This error code is used on some Indesit washing machines too
Error E52 on a Zanussi washing machine is defined as, “no signal from the tachometric generator”. It sounds complicated, in fact I’ve never even heard of “tachometric generator” in over 30 years in the trade but they are referring to what we always call the tacho coil. This is a small coil on the motor at the side of a small magnet on the end of the armature. As the motor turns, so does the magnet, and as one of its poles keeps passing the tacho coil it generates (presumably) small currents or pulses which can be sensed by the control module.
