Servis UK is set to make yet another come back. This brand has gone bust and returned 2 or 3 times to my knowledge. You'd think the brand would be irrevocably tarnished by now.

As the brands name has been bought by a totally unconnected company there will be no liabilities for anything that happened under the last Servis UK venture.

Washerhelp: "Jackie, you may have a claim from the retailer that the washing machine has not lasted a reasonable time and or was not of reasonable quality depending on how it’s been used. You should carefully read all this article and comments EU 2 year guarantee. Sale of Goods Act gives us 6 years to claim for faulty appliances".

I read this with interest as I have a M6804W with a recurring fault (LCD display failing, which apparently is very common with this model). It was repaired within the 12 months, and 2 years later, has failed again. (The washing machine is 3.5 years old).

I'm a single woman and my machine really doesn't get a lot of use.

It was bought from bargaincrazy.com and, as it seems to be a fault with the machine, I'm wondering if there's any comeback..or if I should admit defeat and buy a new washer.

Domestic And General were no help at all (they answered the phone as "Servis" yet said they had no responsibility for Servis appliances, only to peddle their own domestic appliance Direct Debit!!!).

Any advice, please? I'd really appreciate it.
