Indesit washer dryer light flashes 13 times

“I have an Indesit WD12 washer dryer. The programmer keeps turning/clicking around and i note that the on/off red light flashes on a cycle of 13 times on and off as the dial gets to a certain point. I have tried to reset it as in your suggestions ie turning the power off turning it to one of the ‘off’ black dots (there are 3 of these0 then turning it back on again but to no avail. Are all these environmental issues just a big money making con?

This subject is relevant to white goods because it’s now used as a well established marketing tool employed by all manufacturers and it shapes how many of our household appliances are designed and marketed. Although I haven’t written a direct article on this topic before I’ve long since been a sceptic about man-made climate change and wrote a lengthy article recently entitled, Do we really need to dump our old inefficient appliances to save money and the world?

F01 error code on Hotpoint washing machine

F01 error code on most Hotpoint washing machines means “motor triac short – check motor and module connections”.

The triac is an electronic component in the control module (PCB). I don’t know why the suggestion action is to check connections if the fault is that the triac has shorted. This error is likely to need an engineer and maybe a replacement pcb.
