Hoover stacking kits

Why does my condenser tumble dryer make the walls run with condensation?

Condenser tumble dryers don’t need a vent hose and should turn all the steam into water. But because they run hot, a condenser dryer will heat the air around it and the moisture in the air will condense on any cold surface such as tiles or even other appliances near by if sited in a garage near a freezer as mine is. If it’s not a high quality dryer it may also allow some moist air from the drying process into the room too. The only answer is to create more ventilation or make the room warmer.

Can you extend a tumble dryer vent hose?

Ideally a vent hose should be as short as possible. If you want to extend the length of a vent hose on a vented tumble dryer you should be aware that vent hoses are designed to be a specific length by the manufacturer. This length is likely to be the maximum length that the dryer can be vented without potential problems. It will be technically possible to somehow connect two vent hoses together or otherwise extend its length but the problem is, will the dryer be able to pump the hot moist air right to the end of the extended hose? If it can’t, the dryer could at best be inefficient and at worst overheat.

Can you use a tumble dryer without a vent hose?

“I have found your website a great help and between your advice and the ‘Which’ ratings I feel pretty confident on the washing machine I am going to buy. However, am planning to buy my first ever tumble dryer and do not feel so confident.
