I remember seeing one of these franken-appliances in an appliance shop window about 20 years ago. No, reallly, I did not imagine it - see the 'Candy 60 years of history' site at http://www.candy-group.com/60candy/home.html and dial to 75, then select 1980 on the timeline and the text mentions the Trio combining hob, oven and dishwasher. Also check 1982 for the launch of the Tuttuno dishwasher which incorporated a gas hob to save space. If you go back to the main page and select 85, then 1988 ad campaign for the Trio. You can see the ad video by clicking the first video 1. Certainly an inventive company. What’s old is new again!
