Gorenje have issued a customer safety notice regarding a couple of models on their fridge-freezer rage -
Gorenje ensure the highest degree of safety to the functioning of its’ appliances, as a result, the company Gorenje invites the owners of fridge-freezer models : RKI ORA E and RK ORA E, bought in 2007 and 2008 to check the serial number and article number.
Condenser tumble dryers don’t need a vent hose and should turn all the steam into water. But because they run hot, a condenser dryer will heat the air around it and the moisture in the air will condense on any cold surface such as tiles or even other appliances near by if sited in a garage near a freezer as mine is. If it’s not a high quality dryer it may also allow some moist air from the drying process into the room too. The only answer is to create more ventilation or make the room warmer.
Repair companies keep using the term BER to customers. For some reason they expect them to know what it means but they commonly don’t. BER stands for beyond economical repair.
Unfortunately it’s very common for domestic appliances to be written off as “beyond economical repair” these days and repairers are so used to the acronym they often forget it’s a trade term.
