Dishwashers in fire scare: Urgent attention required

Some AEG-Electrolux and ZANUSSI-Electrolux dishwashers are the subject of an urgent safety notice regarding the potential risk of a fire.

No product bought before July 2006 is affected, but the following models with this potential problem are -

  • AEG-Electrolux Models -
  • F50765 – PNC no – 911916296
  • F50765 – PNC no – 911516005
  • ZANUSSI-Electrolux Models -
  • ZSF6161 – PNC no – 911916239
  • ZSF6161 S – PNC no – 911916240
  • ZDF501 – PNC no – 911516002
  • ZDF501 S – PNC no – 911516007
  • IZZI ALU – PNC no – 911915225
  • ZSF6161 N – PNC no – 911916260
  • ZSF6161 X – PNC no – 911916265

Only the following serial numbers are affected: 62700001 to 64099999 and 70800001 to 71699999.

The model number and PNC number should be on a rating plate at the side of the door. Drop the door down and look at the right edge of the door.

NOTE: If you are the owner of an affected model you must stop using your dishwasher and switch it off. This safety notice does not affect any other AEG-Electrolux or ZANUSSI-Electrolux appliance.

There is (was?) a consumer telephone hotline available on 0800 7076258 between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday, or between 9.00am and 5.00pm Saturday and Sunday.
